Family Reunion 2010!!

Hi Family -
It was so much fun to see everyone in CA last week! What a great party the California Creers/Paddocks/Pierces put on! We are still recovering:)
Scott and I had an idea for our family reunion next year and wanted to know who would be interested: Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, UT is a great place for families and has lots of activities for everyone. Sid and Gary go there each year with their horse buddies and I have been there as well for a wedding. They have: horseback riding, mountain biking, whitewater rafting and kayaking, road biking, hiking, ATV tours, rock climbing, wine tasting, tennis courts, volleyball, swimming pools and horseshoes. They are close to golf and there is easy access to Arches National Park. Because of the layout of the lodge, we could each have our own room so that everyone has space to relax but still see each other often for activities and meals. Each room has a kitchenette and sitting area and a private enclosed outdoor patio. I have been checking rates and due to the economic situation they are really not bad (anywhere from $150 to $170/night regularly and more for holidays and peak times). I am thinking that if I book soon we can secure a great group rate too! I have put a call in to the girl that handles events and groups to see what I can get this far ahead. Anyway, for more details check out their website at www.redcliffslodge.com. It is a little cheesy but very informative.
We are shooting for the weekend of June 4 - 6, 2010. The month of May would be less hot but people are in school. July and August are cheaper but may be too hot to enjoy very much....
I am also posting this email on www.sidandgaryclan.blogspot.com in order to get everyone's comments and feedback.
Please let me know what your thoughts are. We are really excited that this could be a great spot to have tons of family fun!
Love you,
Andrea

Question:
For those of us who aren't sure that our parents are going to pay for our rooms and can't afford the rooms along with our tuition payments, (ok, so maybe me and j are the only students right now...) but is there camping near by?

Excellent point! There are plenty of places to camp nearby - this I am sure of. When I went to my friend's wedding at this place, many of her friends did a campout. I'll look into where they may have gone...
